The Affordable Connectivity Program

Smart Security

Alpine Communications is participating in the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), a federal government program that provides eligible households with a discount on internet service. The ACP will provide a discount of up to $30 on internet bills for households that meet income eligibility requirements. It’s important to note, Alpine Communications does not determine a household’s eligibility. Individuals will receive approval for the program from the USAC’s National Verifier and will provide Alpine Communications with an enrollment code for verification.

Am I eligible for the Affordable Connectivity Program?

A household is eligible if one member of the household:

  • Has an income that is at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines or participates in certain assistance programs, such as SNAP, Medicaid, WIC, or Lifeline.
  • Receives benefits under the free and reduced-price school lunch program or the school breakfast program, including through the USDA Community Eligibility Provision during the school year; This includes households with a student enrolled in a school or school district where every student receives this benefit; or
  • Received a Federal Pell Grant during the current award year.

There is a limit of one benefit per household per month. Eligible households may apply this discount to any of the current Alpine Communications internet tiers. Should the ACP end, participating households will be subject to the undiscounted rates and general terms and conditions at the end of the program to continue to receive service.

The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is a federal government program that reduces the customer’s broadband Internet access service bill by up to $30. Households will be subject to Alpine Communications’s undiscounted rates and general terms and conditions if the program ends, if they transfer their benefit to another provider but continue to receive service from the current provider, or upon de-enrollment from the Affordable Connectivity Program. Subscribers whose total bill exceeds $30 will be responsible for the remaining balance after the ACP discount is applied. Providers may disconnect a household’s ACP-supported service after 90 consecutive days of non-payment. Subscribers may apply the ACP benefit to any broadband service offerings at the same terms available to households that are not eligible for ACP-supported service. Households may obtain broadband service supported by the ACP program from any participating provider of their choosing and may transfer my ACP program benefit to another provider at any time. There is a limit of one benefit per household per month. The Affordable Connectivity Program’s Consumer Complaint Center can be reached by calling (877) 384-2575 or by visiting the Center’s website.
