We are seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager for our growing organization. You will be responsible for the full cycle accounting process, maintaining the general ledger, and preparing accurate and timely financial statements. Other fun-with-numbers:

  • Manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable activity.
  • Research and analyze accounting data; summarize account information and trends; prepare reports for a complex and highly regulated operation.
  • Prepare asset, liability, and capital account reconciliations by compiling and analyzing account information and prepare journal entries.
  • Process payroll and related filings.
  • Ensure the monthly bank reconciliations are performed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Process invoices, sales orders and necessary tax filings.
  • Supports budget and forecasting activities.

This position calls for hands-on experience performing the responsibilities listed above in a highly competent manner. Proficient in Microsoft Excel plus high computer literacy to utilize our cloud-based accounting platform.

What does someone in this role actually do?
This position is the friendly voice of Alpine Communications and is someone customers will turn to with questions concerning their services and their monthly statements. This role gives you the opportunity to talk to lots of different people during the day. We rely on you to listen to our customers and use your deductive reasoning skills, creativity, and passion for helping to meet their needs and remind them that behind our great products are customer-focused, accountable, and collaborative team members to serve them.

Essential Duties:
  • Handle inbound and outbound contacts in a courteous, timely, and professional manner acting as the point of contact for customers.
  • Listen to customers, understand their needs, and answer customer questions with patience, empathy, and professionalism.
  • Clearly communicate company values and update customers on new products, programs, or marketing initiatives.
  • Assist customers in set up and activation of new services.
  • Receive and process payments.
  • Process outgoing mail and UPS packages.
  • Efficiently use computer software such as Microsoft 365, Alpine billing software and other 3rd party platforms to ensure accuracy in billing and communication with customers.
  • Prioritize, multi-task, and maintain a high level of professionalism and organization to effectively manage stress.
  • Comply with requirements surrounding confidential information and personal information.
  • Escalate customer issues to appropriate staff for resolution as needed.
  • Attend meetings and training and review all new training material to stay up to date on changes to services, systems, and processes.
  • Adhere to all attendance and work schedule requirements

What we seek is a team oriented, dynamic, self-starting and customer focused technician with a positive attitude. You don’t need to be an expert in the telephone business, however, as our systems are streaming toward being a full “IP” network, you need a strong computer background with a great understanding of IP routing.

This isn’t your normal position where you may be relegated to one facet of technology or repetitive tasks. Instead, you will be instrumental and have the chance to work in many technical areas.

Here’s how you will contribute:
By providing installation, repair, and maintenance of a variety of network and communications equipment and systems (switches, routers, modems, PBX, home monitoring) You will test repaired, newly installed or updated equipment including switching and network equipment to ensure that it functions properly and conforms to specifications You will utilize your technical expertise and savvy to explain technical issues to customers providing solutions for their service needs Use a variety of test and locating equipment to isolate, identify, and analyze equipment trouble and take appropriate maintenance action Alpine Communications has been bringing customers face-to-face with the latest communications technology since 1997.
