Alpine Communications invites area residents and businesses to join them for a Senior Living Open House on June 2, 2016 at their office on 923 Humphrey Street in Elkader.  Alpine Communications will feature the latest in technology, security, communications, and services aimed at improving the quality of life for senior citizens.

Representatives from NEI3A/Northeast Iowa Agency on Aging will discuss the services they provide and resources for seniors including Medicaid Waivers for Personal Emergency Response Systems.   Telecommunications Access Iowa (TAI) will display specialized telephones and iPads for those with hearing loss or speech impairments.   TAI will have information on how to obtain a voucher that will cover up to 95% of the average cost of a specialized phone.  Clayton County Visiting Nurses Association will highlight services targeted to improving the quality of life, communications, and health care. They will also offer free blood pressure checks at the event. Alpine Communications encourages all seniors and caregivers to join them for refreshments, door prizes, and service demonstrations.
